Bruce Springsteen - The Seeger Sessions

So I managed to wangle a ticket (in a box no less) for Bruce Springsteen in concert last Sunday in Manchester. Rather than playing his own music he played all bar five tracks (Johnny 99, Cadillac Ranch, Open All Night, You Can Look (But You Better Not Touch), My City of Ruins) from We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions - a cover album consisting of songs associated with Pete Seeger.

If you want an idea of what the music was like have a look at the Bruce Springsteen site or have a listen to this real audio track of "How Can A Poor Man Stand Such Times And Live?" which was recorded live in New Orleans.

A very enjoyable evening. Just got to see him next time when he's playing all his own music!
