There's light at the end of the tunnel

Well BAND2 is nearly there. I've got two second drafts to finish (C12 and C13) and three appendix to write (B, C and D) and then hopefully all the writing on it will be finished. Copy edits and proofs to do but, at last, there appears to be light at the end of the tunnel.

This is the first book that I've written on my own and I don't think I really appreciated how much work was actually involved in doing it all. The previous two books have been in conjunction with other people and it certainly takes a little bit of the pressure off you when someone else is doing half (or more) of the work.

I can't see myself wanting to do this again for a little while. I've picked up some more reviewing work for ASP Today and am touting for reviewing work for some other Apress books. But writing a full book? I think maybe not for a long(ish) time. I've got some article ideas that, when I get the book finished, I'm going to pitch and plenty of real work to be getting on with.
